Polygiene StayFresh™ is an antibacterial technology that stops the growth of odour-causing bacteria on clothes. Found within our Hike & Trail range, Polygiene StayFresh™ is embedded within select styles to keep the bad smells at bay. That means less washing of your activewear, less water used, and a hopefully longer lifespan for your clothes.
Why We Use It
Polygiene StayFresh™ uses a naturally occurring salt called silver chloride. The silver ions in the salt inhibit the growth of bacteria on the garment, preventing garments from getting smelly. Science, ‘ey?
The advanced antibacterial solution is embedded into the fabric towards the end of the production process. By reducing the odour-causing bacteria, you should be able to wash your active gear less often, which in turn reduces water and energy usage as well as reducing the wear and tear that regular washing and drying causes.
Polygiene's testing shows switching to washing every other wear can reduce the overall environmental impact by up to 37%.

For slower roams and colder temps, we’ve merged the Polygiene StayFresh™ anti-odour finish with a Scotchgard™ moisture-wicking treatment in our Base Layer offering.
